I am saddened to share the news that William (Bill) Clark, Realty Income’s founder and commercial real estate/net-lease pioneer, has passed away. When Bill and his wife, Joan, founded Realty Income in 1969, they established the mission to provide stockholders with monthly dividends that increase over time. That mission has resonated with investors for more than 50 years, allowing stockholders to collect dependable income. I’m proud that this original mission still guides us today and Realty Income has paid out over $12 billion in dividends since the company was founded. Bill’s global impact is immeasurable.
