What You Need to Know About Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Hiring at Realty Income

At Realty Income, we are intentional and thoughtful in how we use AI in our Talent Acquisition process. Our approach is grounded in human accountability, responsible governance, and regard for candidate rights.

Hiring decisions are made by experienced hiring professionals and leaders, based on job-related criteria, and in compliance with applicable laws.

Acceptable Uses of AI by Candidates

  • Refining public professional profiles (for example, LinkedIn)
  • Identifying job opportunities aligned with your skills and experience
  • Drafting or enhancing your résumé and cover letters
  • Preparing for interviews or researching Realty Income and our business

We are interested in evaluating your actual knowledge, skills, abilities, past experiences, and future aspirations.

Unacceptable Use of AI During Interviews

  • AI‑enabled assistance is not permitted during live interviews, including phone, video, or in‑person interviews. This includes real‑time prompts, off‑camera coaching, AI‑generated visuals, voice alteration, visual representation of your candidacy, or similar tools.
  • Recording or transcription tools, including AI‑enabled note‑takers, should not be used during interviews. Realty Income does not record or transcribe interviews, and we ask candidates to help maintain the personalized and conversational nature of these discussions.

These guidelines are intended to promote a consistent and authentic interview experience for candidates.

How Realty Income Uses AI in Talent Acquisition

AI is used prudently to support, not replace, human judgment throughout our hiring process.

  • AI tools do not make hiring decisions, determine outcomes, or independently advance or reject candidates.
  • Our Talent Acquisition team may use AI to support administrative tasks such as scheduling, communication, and workflow efficiency.
  • AI may assist with drafting and refining job descriptions or developing interview materials.
  • In the United States, AI may be used to help organize applicant information so our Talent Acquisition Partners can focus their review on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • AI may provide data‑informed insights to support candidate outreach and promote greater consistency in early‑stage review.

Compliance, Transparency, and Privacy

Realty Income is committed to equitable hiring practices.

  • AI tools used in our hiring process are evaluated and monitored to reduce the risk of bias and to support compliance with applicable employment laws.
  • Where required by law, candidates may have rights related to the use of certain automated tools, including the ability to request information or human review.
  • Candidate personal information is handled in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.

Our Commitment

AI technology continues to evolve, and so do the laws and expectations surrounding its use. We regularly review our AI technology and its implementation in accordance with changing global regulations to ensure our hiring process remains compliant, responsible, and human‑centered.
