Equal Employment Opportunity
As further communicated in the company’s employee handbook, Realty Income is an equal opportunity employer. Realty Income does not unlawfully discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, creed, gender, religion (all aspects of religious beliefs, observance or practice, including religious dress or grooming practices), marital status, registered domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition (including cancer or a record or history of cancer, and genetic characteristics), sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding or related medical condition), genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, military and veteran status, or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws. Realty Income also prohibits discrimination based on the perception that an employee or applicant has any of the above protected characteristics, or is associated with a person who has or is perceived as having any of those protected characteristics. This applies to all aspects of employment including, but not limited to, hiring, job assignment, opportunities for training and development, pay, benefits, promotion and demotion, layoff and termination, ethics and standards of personal conduct.
Professional Recruiters, Staffing Agencies, and Placement Services Policy
Realty Income does not accept unsolicited referrals or resumes from any source other than directly from candidates. The submission of referrals or resumes by anyone other than a candidate directly to Realty Income or Realty Income’s employees is strictly prohibited. Realty Income will not consider unsolicited referrals and/or resumes from vendors including, without limitation, temporary staffing agencies, placement services, and professional recruiters. Any unsolicited resumes sent to a Realty Income email address, mailing address, fax machine, directly to Realty Income employees, or to Realty Income's resume database will be considered Realty Income property. Realty Income will not be obligated or bound in any way to pay any referral or other fee for any placement resulting from the receipt of an unsolicited resume.
Any temporary staffing agency, placement service, or professional recruiter must obtain advance written approval from Realty Income's internal recruiting department to submit resumes for any open position, and then only in conjunction with a valid fully-executed written contract for service and in response to a specific job opening. Realty Income will not pay any referral or other fee for any placement to any vendor that does not have such a written agreement in place.
