Vice President, Asset Management
As Vice President, Asset Management, Ms. O’Brien is responsible for maximizing the value of Realty Income’s real estate portfolio through investment property sales, and the pursuit of incremental value creation opportunities. In this capacity, Ms. O’Brien takes a lead role in negotiating and closing sales transactions with the objective of maximizing return on investment, while mitigating downside risk. Additionally, Ms. O’Brien handles incremental value creation opportunities for the portfolio by optimizing use of the individual assets. In her role, Ms. O’Brien also serves as the point of contact for developers working with Realty Income on value-add opportunities.
Prior to being promoted to her current position, Ms. O’Brien held a multitude of roles throughout the company. Previously, Ms. O’Brien was Associate Vice President, Director of Asset Management after being promoted from Director of Investment Property Sales, a position she obtained in 2012. Before handling property dispositions for Realty Income, Ms. O’Brien worked as an attorney in the company’s Legal department, handling matters related to leasing, selling, and acquiring properties for the real estate portfolio. Prior to joining Realty Income in 1997, Ms. O’Brien worked at a San Diego law firm as a litigator.
Ms. O’Brien graduated with a Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific and earned LLM certification, Taxation at the University of San Diego School of Law.
