Research Department
As the head of the Research department, I provide tenant, financial, industry and real estate information to our Investment Committee and the Board of Directors to help them decide which acquisition opportunities we'd like to pursue. In addition, our department monitors the financial condition, industry dynamics and store-level operations of the real estate in our current property portfolio. One of the most important benefits of my job is that I enjoy learning and my position at Realty Income provides me with the opportunity to constantly learn. Every industry segment has a unique set of characteristics and drivers. These industries evolve and it is our job to keep abreast of these developments and to provide our executive team with information that aids them in their decision-making process. We need to find companies or tenants that are reliable sources of lease revenue to support monthly dividends for 15 to 20 years, and longer.
I joined Realty Income in 1997 and have always headed up our Research department. Prior to joining Realty Income, I was a Vice President/Corporate Banker for a few San Diego area banks. All of these positions provided me with a solid background in financial analysis, industry drivers and financial modeling. In addition, I received great experience in presenting financial analysis to bank boards and loan committees, which has been very helpful in presenting concise and organized information to our Investment Committee and Board of Directors.
I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science.
I enjoy playing and watching sports, particularly San Diego State Aztec basketball and Charger football games. I also enjoy coaching my kids in their various sports.
