Michael D. McKee has been our Director since August 1994.

He is the Chief Executive Officer of Bentall Kennedy (U.S.), L.P., a registered real estate investment advisor (February 2010 - present). He was Vice Chairman (July 1999-2008) and Chief Executive Officer (2007-2008) of The Irvine Company, as well as Chief Operating Officer (2001-2007), Chief Financial Officer (1997-2001), and Executive Vice President (1994-1999) of The Irvine Company. Prior to joining The Irvine Company, Mr. McKee was a partner in the law firm of Latham & Watkins (1986-1994).

His business and legal experience includes numerous acquisition and disposition transactions, as well as a variety of public and private offerings of equity and debt securities.

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Health Care Property Investors, Inc. (NYSE: HCP).

Mr. McKee is chairman of our Compensation Committee and is a member of our Nominating/Corporate Governance and Audit Committees.
