What I Do

As Associate Vice President in portfolio management, I manage a lease administration team to ensure timely collection of rental income and reimbursement from our tenants for expenses that are their responsibility. In addition, my team makes certain that our tenants make timely payments of the real estate taxes that are also their responsibility under our net lease agreements. We also verify that all of our properties are sufficiently insured. Overseeing the collection of rent is important to the company since our monthly rental revenue is what allows us to make monthly dividend payments to our shareholders.

Background

I joined Realty Income in 1997 as a Portfolio Management Administrator. About a year later, I was promoted to Director of Asset Management and then, in 1999, I was again promoted to my current position. Prior to joining Realty Income, I was an administrative assistant at several real estate companies in San Diego and Arizona. My previous experience at real estate brokerage firms provided me with solid lease transaction and database knowledge, which has been important to my ability to implement new lease administration processes and streamlining existing procedures at Realty Income. I graduated from California State University, Chico, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work.

Other Interests

I enjoy international travel and have recently been to Italy, Spain, England and Sweden. While growing up, I lived in Japan and Iceland and would love to plan a return trip. I’m also an avid reader and belong to an online book trading website where I have traded over 350 books with other readers all over the country.

I also enjoy being a new parent and trying to keep up with my toddler son while we visit parks, beaches and local amusement attractions. We also enjoy spending time with family and hanging out with our two cats.
