What I Do

As the Director of Investment Property Sales, I am responsible for the strategic sale of certain properties that have been identified as property portfolio sales candidates. The activities involved in selling a particular property range from analyzing sales scenarios to preparing the legal documentation involved in selling a particular real estate asset. I am also involved in negotiating and closing sales transactions, with the objective of maximizing our cash flow and return on investment to the greatest extent possible. Strategic property sales are a critical component of our goal to enhance the credit quality of our real estate portfolio and to hold assets that provide the long-term potential to generate revenue supporting the payment of monthly dividends to our shareowners.

Background

Prior to becoming the director of investment property sales in 2012, I worked as an attorney in our legal department, handling legal matters related to leasing, selling and acquiring properties for our real estate portfolio. Prior to joining Realty Income in 1998, I worked at a San Diego law firm as a litigator. My previous roles have provided me with an excellent understanding of what is required to make important decisions regarding the strategic sales of our investment properties. I graduated with a Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific and earned LLM certification, Taxation at the University of San Diego School of Law.
