What I Do

As the President and Chief Operating Officer of Realty Income, I oversee all of the activities of the company. All senior executives report to me, and I meet with them at least weekly to discuss the activities of their departments and what their teams are currently working on. We also discuss future projects and any challenges that may have arisen in their day-to-day activities. I also serve as the head of our real estate Investment Committee, where we review, analyze, underwrite and acquire new properties to generate increased lease revenue that supports the payment of monthly dividends.

Background

I have been with Realty Income since May 1985, or for more than 25 years. Prior to my current position as President and Chief Operating Officer, I was a Chief Financial Officer, a Vice President of Finance and a Controller for the company. Before joining Realty Income, I worked as a senior level accounting professional for a large local real estate development company and as a certified public accountant for a local accounting firm. Both of these positions have been helpful to my career at Realty Income as I learned a great deal about the risks and rewards of the real estate business. I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.

What Motivates Me

Love of the company, love of our corporate culture and pride in what we've accomplished during my time here are what motivates me every day. Working at The Monthly Dividend Company^® has provided me with a very satisfying career because I believe we've been able to improve the lives of our investors through monthly dividends and our investors have also been able to achieve great returns on their investment in the company.

Favorite Sports: Golf, skiing, motorcycle riding

Favorite Activities: Love spectator sports - baseball, basketball and football (now that I'm too old to participate)
