Real Estate Acquisitions

What I Do

As a member of the Acquisitions Department, I am primarily responsible for sourcing new transactions that generate the cash flow to pay monthly dividends. I work directly with existing tenant groups, private equity firms and other corporations in various industries to assess their real estate and capital needs and provide sale-leaseback structures for clients who are looking to turn the real estate they own into cash that can be used for other purposes.

What I enjoy most about what I do is the fact that my work is directly related to our ability to generate increase lease revenue that allows us to increase the amount of the dividend over time for our shareholders.

Background

I originally joined Realty Income in 1997 and worked as an Acquisitions Director prior to being promoted to my current position as Vice President in 2003. Prior to joining Realty Income, I was a Vice President and Loan Officer at a bank, an Appraiser and Loan Officer for a real estate company and began my career in real estate as an escrow assistant for a small escrow firm. My 20-plus year career has been in commercial real estate finance, which has provided me with the background and expertise that is required to source, underwrite and complete sometimes complicated real estate transactions on behalf of our company. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Banking.
