Kathleen R. Allen Ph.D. has been our director since February 2000.
She is a professor at the Marshall School of Business and the director of the Center for Technology Commercialization at the
University of Southern California (1991-present). She was co-founder and chairwoman of Gentech Corporation (1994-2004). Dr. Allen
incorporated a non-profit institute, the National Network for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (N2TEC), in January 2006.
This institute is dedicated to economic development through technology entrepreneurship and Dr. Allen is the chief executive officer and serves on its board of directors.
She also serves as a consultant to a medical technology venture and to an aerospace company and is the author of 17 books in the field of entrepreneurship and technology, a field in which
she is considered an expert. Dr. Allen is chairwoman of our Strategic Planning Committee and is a member of our Audit and Compensation Committees.
