Kathleen R. Allen Ph.D. has been our director since February 2000. She is a professor at the Marshall School of Business and the director of the Center for Technology Commercialization at the University of Southern California (1991-present). She was the co-founder and chairperson of Gentech Corporation (1994-2004). Dr. Allen incorporated a non-profit institute, the National Network for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (N2TEC), in January 2006. This institute is dedicated to economic development through technology entrepreneurship and Dr. Allen is the chief executive officer and serves on its board of directors. She also serves as a consultant to two medical technology ventures, and is the author of twelve books in the field of entrepreneurship and technology, a field in which she is considered an expert. Dr. Allen is chairperson of our Strategic Planning Committee and is a member of our Audit Committee.
