Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Mr. Meurer oversees all of the company’s capital markets, investor relations and financial reporting activities, and is responsible for Realty Income’s ongoing dialogue with investment bankers and analysts, commercial bankers, rating agencies, and auditors, as well as the company’s stock and bond holders.
Before joining Realty Income in 2001, Mr. Meurer spent 14 years working as an investment banker for both Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. His investment banking career was focused on capital markets and advisory transactions for public and private real estate companies, including several REIT IPOs. He was Realty Income’s investment banking advisor during the initial listing of the company on the New York Stock Exchange in 1994, and then was deeply involved in the company’s early growth and public capital markets strategy, participating in all of the company’s capital raising transactions, before joining the company as Chief Financial Officer in 2001. He was named 2014 public company CFO of the Year in San Diego by the San Diego Business Journal.
Mr. Meurer has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Management from The University of Virginia, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Stanford Business School. He serves as an interviewer for Stanford Business School applicants from the San Diego area. He also serves on the Board of Visitors of McDonogh School.
